Giulio Migliaccio (born June 23, 1981 in Mugnano di Napoli) is an Italian football midfielder who currently plays for U.S. Città di Palermo in the Serie A league. He is nicknamed Diesel, for the resemblance to the actor Vin Diesel.

He is commonly used as a holding midfielder, and also as an occasional centre back.

Club career

Migliaccio started his career at Savoia. He debuted as a professional in 1998-99 playing the championship Serie C, playing 8 match. The following year he goes on loan to Puteolana, Serie D club. Despite an excellent season, and is noticed by the leadership of Bari, who bought it to play in the Serie A, for the 2000-01 season. However, never appears in the field. The following year he was transferred to Giugliano in Serie C2.[1] In 2003 he moved to Ternana to play in the Serie B. After 39 matches played, in January 2005 he moved to Atalanta in Serie A 2004-05.[2] Played three seasons with Atalanta, collecting 86 caps and 4 goals. Especially in 2006/07 offers top performance, contributing to the excellent location of his team in the league.

Palermo

He joined Palermo in the summer of 2007, strongly wanted by his former coach Stefano Colantuono.[3] Is purchased for €5M and ownership of Adriano Pereira da Silva. In Palermo, Giulio has become a pivot in the midfield. On 28 August 2010 he reached 100 caps on rosanero: 93 in the league, 4 in European Cups and three in the Coppa Italia.

Between 2000 and 2002, has called 11 times in Italy U-20, collecting 4 appearances.
